The Precision line of sailboats, made by Precision Boat Works, make sailing affordable for the average family. These sailboats are big enough for the family to sleep aboard, yet inexpensive and can be trailered easily.
By focusing on small sailboats, Precision has gained extensive experience designing and building the perfect small sailboat. Unlike many small sailboats, Precision boats sail well, even pointing high into the wind, and they do equally well reaching and running. Their stability is appreciated by those new to sailing, as well as by more experienced sailors.
Quality Sailboat Construction
Precision's dedication to quality boat-building shows in every sailboat in the Precision line, from the Precision 15 — made in a centerboard model and one with a bulb keel — through the Precision 21 and 23 — perfect week-end boats — to the Precision 28 — well suited for longer cruises.
The Precision 185 is perhaps the fastest boat in Precision's fleet. Available in both centerboard and fin keel models, the Precision 185, or P-185, was make especially for speed. A roller furling jib comes as standard equipment on the P-185, making single-handing easy and fun.
Larger Precision sailboats are well-suited for overnight sails or longer cruising, while smaller ones are such a snap to rig, launch and sail that kids of all ages have a ball with them.

The 165 is the smallest Precision sailboat with a cabin. It's easy to sail and easy to trailer

The 6'4" cockpit has plenty of room for 4 adults. With 4 berths in the cabin, plus space for a PortaPotty, the 18 is a great little boat for occasional overnight sailing.
- Precision 185 — Centerboard and Fin Keel Models available
Made to go fast. A fun boat for small sailboat races.
- Precision 21
A perfect boat for week-end cruising, the Precision 21 is still small enough to trailer easily. The galley module and optional PortaPotty make it functional, while the 7-foot cockpit makes it feel like a much bigger boat while under sail.
- Precision 23
The P-23 is the largest trailerable sailboat in the Precision line — and the most popular
- Precision 28
The only non-trailerable sailboat in Precision's line, the Precision 28 is a small cruiser that packs a lot of punch for its size. It's perfect for coastal cruising and island hopping.
